Terms of Use

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Zara Face ("we", "us"). They apply whenever you use our website and services. Please read them together with our Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, which form part of these terms.

By creating an account, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Zara Face.

2. Who can use Zara Face

• You must be 18 years old or older.
• You must give us true and up-to-date details, and keep your password private. You are responsible for everything done with your account.
• One person, one account. Accounts can't be sold or shared.

3. What the service does

Zara Face lets you change the face in your live camera video to the face in a photo you choose, using artificial intelligence (AI). The AI is provided by our technology partner, Decart (see our Privacy Policy). Everything the service produces is AI-generated. It can look real, but it isn't, and it may sometimes be inaccurate or imperfect.

We work hard to keep the service running, but we can't promise it will always be available, fast or error-free. It depends on your internet connection, your device and our partners' systems.

4. Credits and payments

• 1 credit = 1 second of live face transformation.
• Prices are shown in naira (₦) on the Buy credits page before you pay. Payments are processed by Paystack. Paystack's card fee is added to the price at checkout, and the exact amount is shown by Paystack before you pay.
• Credits have no cash value, can't be transferred to another person, and can only be used on Zara Face.

• Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

5. How live sessions are charged

• Before a session starts, you choose how many seconds to reserve. Those credits are set aside from your balance.
• Charging starts when your session connects, and includes a short warm-up (usually about 5 to 10 seconds) while your character loads.
• You pay for the seconds you actually use, rounded up to the next whole second, and never more than you reserved. Unused reserved seconds go straight back to your balance.
• If the transformed video never appears within 20 seconds of connecting, you aren't charged for that session.
• If your connection drops, you are charged only for the time you were connected.

6. Faces, photos and consent

• You may only use a photo of a face if you have the right to use it: it's your own face, or the person in it has clearly agreed. Before each session you must confirm this.
• You are fully responsible for the photos and video you use and for what you do with the results.
• Your camera video and the photo you choose are sent directly from your browser to our AI partner. We don't store them on our servers. Our partner's terms may allow it to keep and use them to improve its AI. Please read our Privacy Policy before using the Studio.

7. Acceptable use and AI disclosure

You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, you must never impersonate a real person without their consent, use the service for fraud or scams, create sexual content or anything involving minors, harass anyone, or pass off AI video as real. Whenever you share content made with Zara Face, you must make clear that it is AI-generated.

8. Recordings

The Studio lets you record the transformed video in your browser. Recordings are saved to your own device, not to our servers. Recordings may include a visible "AI · Zara Face" watermark. You must not remove, hide or crop out any watermark or AI label.

9. Suspending or closing accounts

We may suspend or close your account, and end any session in progress, if you break these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse, or if the law requires it. Where we can, we'll tell you why. You can contact us at hello@zaraface.com if you think we've made a mistake.

You can ask us to close your account at any time from your profile page. We keep some records after closure (for example payment and wallet records) as explained in the Privacy Policy.

10. Our rights

The Zara Face name, website and software belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only to use the service as these terms allow.

11. Our responsibility to you

The service is provided "as is". As far as Nigerian law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, lost profits, or harm caused by how you or others use content made with the service. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 or other laws that can't be excluded. 12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll show you the new version and ask you to accept it the next time you use the site. If you don't accept, you can stop using the service and ask us to close your account.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Please contact us first so we can try to sort out any problem. If we can't, disputes will be handled by the courts of [STATE], Nigeria. [LAWYER TO REVIEW: dispute resolution, e.g. mediation first.]
