Acceptable Use Policy
Version 2026-10-10 · Last updated 10 October 2026
Zara Face uses AI to change faces in live video. That is powerful, and it can hurt people if misused. This policy explains what you must never do. It is part of our Terms of Use.
You must not use Zara Face to:
- Impersonate a real person without their consent. Only use your own face, or the face of someone who has clearly agreed to you using it for this purpose. Never pretend to be a real person, including public figures, politicians, celebrities, officials, bank or company staff, or someone's family member, to make others believe it's really them.
- Commit fraud or scams. This includes tricking people into sending money or information, "romance" or investment scams, fake video calls, pretending to be a customer or official, or getting around identity or face checks (for example bank, SIM, BVN/NIN or "liveness" verification).
- Create sexual content. No nudity, sexual acts or sexually suggestive content of any kind, real or AI-generated.
- Create anything involving minors. Never use a photo or video of anyone under 18, and never make content that shows, suggests or sexualises a child. We report child sexual abuse material to the authorities.
- Harass, bully, threaten or humiliate anyone, including making content to embarrass, blackmail or intimidate a person, or content that attacks people because of their ethnicity, religion, gender, disability or other identity.
- Pass off AI video as real. Never present content made with Zara Face as genuine footage, for example as news, evidence, or a real statement by a real person.
- Break the law in any other way, including the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act 2015, copyright law, or someone's right to privacy.
- Remove or hide watermarks or AI labels, or interfere with the service: hacking, overloading it, getting around payments or limits, or using it through automated tools.
Always say it's AI
Whenever you share a recording or anything else made with Zara Face, on social media, in messages or anywhere else, you must clearly say that it is AI-generated (for example "Made with AI" or "#AIgenerated"). Don't crop out or cover the watermark.
What happens if this policy is broken
We may end a session, remove access to credits, suspend or permanently ban the account, and, where the law requires it or people are at risk, report the matter to the police or other authorities. We may also share information with our AI partner, which has its own rules against misuse.
Report misuse
If you think someone has misused Zara Face, including if your face was used without your consent, please tell us using the Report abuse form. You don't need an account. You can also email hello@zaraface.com.
