Zara Face for Windows
Your live character becomes a real webcam, Zara Face Camera, that you can pick in Zoom, Google Meet, WhatsApp Desktop and TikTok LIVE Studio. No OBS needed. The app is free; live takes use your credits, exactly like the Studio on this website.

This PC seems to run Windows 10 or older
Zara Face Camera needs Windows 11. You can still use your character in calls and streams with the Studio on this website and the free OBS Studio app: follow our streaming guide.
What you need

Windows 11
A Windows 11 laptop or desktop (64-bit). Windows 10 can't add cameras like this. On a Mac, use the streaming guide.

A webcam
The built-in camera of your laptop, or a USB webcam.

Internet
A stable connection (Wi-Fi or a good 4G/5G hotspot), and a Zara Face account with credits.
Install it

Download the installer
Press "Download for Windows". The file is called ZaraFace-Setup followed by the version number.

Open the file
Open it from your browser's downloads or your Downloads folder. If a blue box says "Windows protected your PC", press "More info", then "Run anyway". Windows shows this for new apps.

Press "Yes"
Windows asks "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?". Press Yes. This is needed once, to add Zara Face Camera to Windows.

Sign in
Zara Face opens by itself. Sign in with your Zara Face account: email and password, or "Continue with Google" (that one finishes in your web browser).

Go live
Turn on your camera and press Go live, as on the website. The bar at the top of the app says "Camera: on · sending video".
The app updates itself. Windows asks "Yes" once per update, because Zara Face Camera is part of Windows.
Pick "Zara Face Camera" in your app
Keep Zara Face open. Apps list the camera as Zara Face Camera (Windows Virtual Camera).
Zoom
Settings (the gear) → Video → Camera → Zara Face Camera. In a meeting: the small arrow next to "Start Video".
Google Meet
In Chrome or Edge: the three dots → Settings → Video → Camera → Zara Face Camera.
WhatsApp Desktop
Settings → Video & voice → Camera. In a video call: the small arrow next to the camera button.
TikTok LIVE Studio
Add source → Camera (Video capture device) → Zara Face Camera.
Good to know
- ✓ Start your live take in Zara Face first, then join the call. Before a take, the camera shows "Start a live take in the app".
- ✓ Your own preview in Meet or WhatsApp may look mirrored. The people you call see it the right way round.
- ✓ Only one app can use the camera at a time, like a real webcam.
- ✓ To remove it: Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps → Zara Face → Uninstall. The camera goes too.
Always say it's AI
Tell the people in your call or stream that they're seeing an AI character. Never use it to pretend to be a real person, to trick or scam anyone, or with anyone under 18.
